Abdul Sattar

Born in Bahawalpur, studied till Graduation from native city, did law from Punjab University Law College Lahore and thereafter obtained Master’s degree in English Literature from Islamia University Bahawalpur.  After qualifying PCS (Judicial) competitive examination appointed Civil Judge in the year 1984, and remained posted at various stations across the Punjab.  Promoted Senior Civil Judge in the year 1999 and remained posted at Sahiwal and Lahore.  In the year 2000 promoted Additional District & Sessions Judge and served at Lahore, Multan, D. G. Khan and Faisalabad in different capacities as Special Judge Anti-Narcotics (ANF) Multan, Additional Registrar, Lahore High Court, Multan Bench, Multan and Special Judge Anti-Terrorism Court, Multan from the year 2000 to 2009.  In July 2009, promoted District & Sessions Judge and served in the field as District & Sessions Judge at Rajanpur, Sahiwal, Multan, Sargodha and Rawalpindi.  Also served on Ex-Cadre posts as Member Inspection Team, Lahore High Court, Lahore, Judge Accountability Court Lahore and Special Judge Anti-Narcotics ANF Lahore. Also remained Judge of the Lahore High Court, Lahore for one year 2016-2017.  Attended following Courses/Workshops: -

  1. Judicial Ethics Conference Organized by Lahore High Court Lahore in 2004 at Multan.
  2. In service training course at National Institute of Public Administration (NIPA), Lahore.
  3. Made presentation on the topic of Legal Education in Pakistan National Judicial Conference held at Supreme Court of Pakistan, Islamabad in 2010.
  4. Attended Colloquium at Singapore on the topic of Intellectual Property Laws.
  5. Delivers Lectures in Punjab Judicial Academy on Legal topics.
  6. 78th one-week training course (Ist GTP) for District & Sessions Judges (09 to 14 February 2015).
  7. Spoke on the topic of Administering the Green Justice as the Green Judge in CEEJ (Committee for Enhancing Environmental Justice) Conference on Water and Environmental Justice.
  8. Remained Member Board of Management of the Punjab Judicial Academy 2014.
  9. Member District Judiciary Budget Committee, Lahore High Court Lahore 2015.

Having served the Judiciary for a period of more than three decades on different positions has now earnest desire to share and return the acquired abilities, experience and character building traits to new comers of this profession in the days ahead.

Joined Punjab Judicial Service in 1994 as Civil Judge-cum-Judicial Magistrate and worked as a trial court of original civil and criminal jurisdiction, while posted at district Lahore, Sheikhupura and Kasur till 2004. Managed civil litigation by the Government of Punjab as Deputy Solicitor for four years. After promotion as senior civil judge, was appointed Judge Small Causes Court/Guardian Judge -1 at Lahore. Promoted as Additional District &Sessions Judge in 2008 and assigned murder trial court. Conducted and decided many sessions trials at Kasur, Gujranwala and Sheikhupura, besides deciding civil and criminal appeals. Appointed Additional Director Instructions at Federal Judicial Academy, Islamabad and worked there from May 2013 to April 2015. Posted as Senior Instructor at Punjab Judicial Academy in May 2015 and continued in this capacity till promotion as District &Sessions Judge and appointed Director Academic/Programs at PJA.

She got her L.L.B, L.L.M, and M.A (Political Science & Punjabi) degree from Punjab University, Lahore. She has 23 years’ experience of active practice as an advocate in Hon’ble Lahore High Court Lahore and Apex Supreme Court. She has 15 years’ experience of teaching of corporate and business law in different institutions of Chartered Accountancy including ICAP, ICMA, SCANS, PAC, Pakistan. She taught subject including Criminology, Cr.P.C Limitation Act, Partnership Act and other related subject in Quaid-e-Azam Law College and Superior Law College. She also served as Law Officer i.e. as Deputy Prosecutor General, Punjab (DPG) before the Hon’ble Lahore High Court Lahore. In the Year 2013, joined judicial department as Additional District & Sessions Judge and remained posted in Sheikhupura, Sargodha, and Ferozwala. On 22ndOct,2018 joined Punjab Judicial Academy, Lahore as Senior Instructor.

Got his LL.B degree from University of the Punjab and thereafter completed his LL.M degree from the Punjab University Law College. Area of research for LL.M degree remained constitutional Law on the topic “Voidance of Laws on the Touch Stone of Fundamental Rights”. He qualified PCS Judicial from the PPSC in the year 2000. In the year 2012, he was selected as a Research Officer to work at Research Center, Lahore High Court, Lahore and served there as a pioneer research officer for 1 year & 8 months. He was posted as Senior Instructor in Punjab Judicial Academy in the year 2014.  He was then promoted to the rank of Additional District & Sessions Judge in Year, 2015. He served as Additional District & Sessions Judge in Gujrat for 1 year and 4 months. In July 2016, his services were again placed at the disposal of the Punjab Judicial Academy. Got Training of Trainers (TOT) Conducted by Dr. Livingston Armitage Director Center of Judicial Studies Sydney Australia at PJA and later on himself conducted Training of Trainers (TOT) for adjunct faculty of PJA. Presently he is serving as Senior Instructor Punjab Judicial Academy. Attended Study Tour to UK (England and Northeren Ireland) arranged by British Commission from 5-15 Feb 2017.

 

 

Rai Muhammad Khan

Got his LL.B degree from University of the Punjab in the year 2000 and thereafter completed his LL.M degree from the same University. Area of research for LL.M degree remained Protection of Women Rights. He qualified PCS Executive and Judicial at the same time from the PPSC in the year 2001. On the basis of above competitive exams, he was offered post of Extra Assistant Commissioner on Executive side and Civil Judge-cum-Judicial Magistrate on Judicial side. However, he preferred to join the judicial service. He served as a Civil Judge-cum-Judicial Magistrate at different stations. In the year 2012, selected as a Research Officer to work at Research Center, Lahore High Court, Lahore and he served there as a pioneer research officer for 2 ½ years. He was posted as Senior Instructor in Punjab Judicial Academy in October 2014. In April, 2015 he was promoted as Senior Civil Judge and served as such at Mandi Bahauddin. He was then promoted to the rank of Additional District & Sessions Judge in August, 2015 and served in Lahore for more than 1 year. In July 2016, his services were again placed at the disposal of the Punjab Judicial Academy and presently he is serving as Senior Instructor Punjab Judicial Academy. He is also pursuing his Ph.D Law from International Islamic University, Islamabad.

She did her MA English from FC, college, Lahore. PGD in English Language Teaching from Punjab University, LLB from Punjab University and LLM from NCBA&E. She joined the service in the year 2008 as Civil Judge-cum-Judicial Magistrate. Served Punjab Judiciary as judge family court, Gujranwala, judge civil court, sheikhupura, and judge guardian court, Lahore. Served Lahore High Court Lahore as Deputy Registrar (Planning, Development & IT). She is an IT initiative and worked on pilot projects regarding electronic case management mechanism.  She has been associated with Punjab Judicial Academy as an adjunct faculty member and thereafter joined PJA as Senior Instructor.

She represented the Punjab judiciary as speaker in a seminar on violence against women organized by Women Commission of Pakistan, on 16th December, 2015, attended World Conference in Bangkok, Thailand on Judicial efficiency improvements & reengineering court process to streamline & right sizing the judiciary January 2017. She participated in a world conference in UK on modernizing Justice on behalf of District Judiciary Punjab. Visited USA to have an overview for implementation of Hague convention for parental child abduction, in 2018. Participated in international seminar as panelist to speak on Gender Based Violence Cases in Pakistan organized by Asian Development Bank, Manila, Philippine on 26 November 2018. She has been member of Advisory Council for policy making of Hon'ble Lahore High Court Lahore and introduced Court & Case Management policy with specialized courts project. She has been secretary of Women Welfare committee Punjab Judiciary.

Arif Ali
Additional Director

He got his Master in Economics thereafter completed LL.B from University of the Punjab. He is energetic and enthusiastic person who has developed a mature and responsible approach to any task, having a vast working experience. Strong organizational abilities work logically and thinking ahead. Serving the Punjab Judicial Academy, Lahore as Additional Director. Looks after the administration, matters of land acquisition & construction work of the Academy and accounts section. Act as convener of purchase committee. Transport officer and Custodian of Mess & Hostel. Appointed as Deputy Director in September 2009. Earlier performed the duties of Deputy Registrar (Judicial) in NIRC many times and protocol duties with the Chairman and members of NIRC. Also performed duties of Law officer behalf of the NIRC and appeared in different High Court, of the Country, conducted Referendums / Elections of various Government and Private Organizations as presiding officer / Returning Officer. Participated in various workshops and seminars arranged by the ILO, PLG&RD and UNODC etc. Participated in different training courses such as “Effective Management”, “Project Management”, Workshop on importance of conductive working environment at workplace and protection against Harassment of Women at workplace.

 
 

Imran Mujaddid Rabbani

Got his BCS degree from University of the Punjab in the year 2003 and thereafter completed his M.S CS degree from Govt College University (GCU), Lahore. Area of research was "Diagnosing Multiple Diseases using Expert System". He joined SIMS/Services Hospital Lahore as Computer Programmer in 2006 and served there as In charge Software Development Section. He automated all the Dept. of hospital especially Emergency, OPD and Medical Examination Department MED. In Sept, 2009, he joined Punjab Judicial Academy. Since then, he is serving as Instructor I.T and imparting I.T Skills to the Judicial Officers from all over the Punjab.  He is pursuing his Ph.D. in Computer Science from University of Engineering and Technology, Lahore. His research area in Ph.D. is "Efficient Cloud Service Selection through agents" and has also published many international articles.
