A comprehensive Pre-Service training course of Assistant District Attorneys spread over 12 weeks, starting from 12th Nov, 2012 and has concluded last Saturday, i.e. on 2nd Feb, 2013. The ceremony was graced by Hon’able Mr. Justice Sardar Tariq Masood, Senior Judge Lahore High Court, Lahore and trainees were given shields with certificates.
The Chief Guest said that people of Pakistan have high hopes from the courts and we all should strive hard for dispensation of justice and Law Officers should be committed to their sacred duty with honesty with fear of Almighty Allah in mind. Therefore law officers should bring facts of the case before courts of law diligently, honestly and painstakingly, so that provision of justice could be ensured.
In the welcome address, the Director General of Punjab Judicial Academy, Justice (R) Tanvir Ahmed Khan said that the objective of Law Officers is to provide proper assistance for provision of justice on merit and they should argue the government cases vehemently and should work not for wining the case but for providing justice on merits.
Mr. Justice (R) Khalil ur Rehman Khan, Honrary Consultant, Punjab Judicial Academy, Dr. Syed Abul Hassan Najmee, Provincial Secretary Law & Parliamentary Affairs, Mr. Justice (R) Kazim Ali Malik, Senior Member Inspection Team, LHC and District & Sessions Judge Lahore, Mr. Nazir Ahmad Gajana also attended the ceremony.
