Concluding ceremony of One week workshop on “Procedural Competency” of Civil Judges Cum Judicial Magistrates of various districts of Punjab (Batch VII) held on 30th March, 2013 at the Punjab Judicial Academy Auditorium. The ceremony was graced by Mr. Justice Sh Najamul Hassan, Hon’able Judge Lahore High Court, Lahore and he also gave away certificates to civil judges.
During his address, he said that District Judiciary enjoys a pivotal role in the system of justice of the country. It is dire need that judicial officers should discharge their onerous obligations with utmost care and responsibility. He advised the judges to record the evidence personally as statements made before the trial court carry much weight. He emphasized, the judges should have hands on information technology. Every judge should be a computer literate. Latest judgments of apex courts, full of guidance, are available on internet which helps speedy resolution of disputes. Furthermore law sites available on net are very helping.
In the welcome address, the Director General, Punjab Judicial Academy, Justice (R) Tanvir Ahmed, highlighted the achievements of the institution and paid tribute to staff and resource persons.
