A highly professional and advanced course was tailored specially for District & Sessions Judges from the view point that justice should be dispensed soon and on merits. Keeping this objective in mind emphasis was given on capacity building of District & Sessions Judges who in turn will convey the same knowledge to the other judges of their respective districts. This course was concluded on 31.3.2012. Mr. Justice Umar Ata Bandial, Senior Judge, of Lahore High Court, Lahore was the chief guest. This function was also attended by Mr. Justice Mazahar Ali Naqvi and Mr. Justice Ijaz-ul-Ahsan. The chief guest, Justice Umar Ata Bandial stated that pendency of one million cases in Punjab shows that the public has great confidence in courts. It is the confidence of the public that they bring all the disputes to the courts. However he emphasized the need to drastically reduce the number of pending cases.
