Foundation Stone laying Cermony of Punjab Judicial Academy at Kala Shah Kaku

Foundation stone laying ceremony of the Punjab Judicial Academy at Mauza Kallar near Kala Shah Kaku Interchange held on Saturday, 25th of May at 10:00 a.m.
              
Chief Justice of Lahore High Court, Mr. Justice Umar Ata Bandial was the Chief Guest while Honorable Judges of LHC, Director General of Academy, Mr. Justice (R) Syed Jamshed Ali and and former Director General  graced the occasion as well.

The Hon’ble Chief Justice said that during his tenure as head of the Punjab Judiciary, he had hardly found any complaint of corruption against the judicial officers. The major cause of concern is delay in the dispensation of justice which can be overcome by proper case management and training of judicial officers.

In the speech of Director General, justice (R) Jamshed Ali emphasized the role of academy and importance of training to the judicial officers of the Punjab. He hoped that, the new site will have the state of art facilities along with library for the trainees.

The member of Planning and Development dept. also briefed the construction plan of the Academy.
Kala Shah Kaku  campus of Punjab Judicial Academy is a piece of land measuring 393 Kanals,7 Marlas has been acquired at the cost of Rs.93.921 million, the boundary wall has been constructed. In phase-I the new building will have proper teaching and boarding facilities with separate hostels for male and female trainee officers, a Sports Complex having Swimming Pool, Badminton and Squash Courts, Gymnasium, Volleyball and Basket Ball Grounds, Medical Centre, with spacious parking and lawns.
