Hon’ble Mr. Justice Umar Ata Bandial, Chief Justice Lahore High Court, on Saturday (24th May, 2014 ) inaugurated a newly developed video link system for online training courses at the Punjab Judicial Academy by delivering the first lecture through it.
He said the video link facility had been initially launched for district courts of the provincial capital and would gradually be extended to every district as well as tehsils of Punjab.
On this occasion, he urged the judges to augment their knowledge through information technology. Honesty was critical to dispense justice but an adjudicator must have a grip over expertise and knowledge of law. He added.
The chief justice asked the judges to enhance their vision in diverse spheres of law, such as liberal, human rights and Constitutional visions.
Mr. Sohail Nasir, Director General Punjab Judicial Academy, Mahboob Qadir Shah, The Registrar, Lahore High Court, Lahore and Syed Nasir Ali Shah, Director Admin, PJA also accompanied the chief justice while the District and Sessions Judge, Senior civil Judge and other judicial officers were among the audience at the sessions court.
