Punjab judicial Academy has been started series of lectures by prominent and renowned jurists and scholars on the important issues.
In such a backdrop Mr. S. M. Zafar, Senior Advocate Supreme Court of Pakistan has delivered a lecture on 04.06.2014 (Wednesday) at 05:00 p.m. on the topic of “18th and 19th Amendments of the Constitution of Islamic Republic of Pakistan, 1973 and its fallout” in the auditorium of the PJA.
On this occasion Hon’ble Mr. Justice Umar Ata Bandial, Chief Justice Lahore High Court said the country is facing water, power and sui gas crises and judges have the obligations to inform the parliament about the issues confronting the future generation.
He stressed upon the judges to go out of the box and concentrate on the ethos, philosophy and spirit of the law and Constitution besides being aware of the ground realities.
The Chief Justice presented a shield to SM Zafar and Mr. Justice Kh. Imtiaz Ahmad, Senior Puisne Judge, Lahore High Court, Lahore presented souvenir to the Chief Justice on the behalf of Punjab Judicial Academy in recognition of the patronage extended being the PJA chairman.
