National Conference of Judicial Academies on “Key Issues and Challenges in Judicial Education” was held in Punjab Judicial Academy on 25th October, 2014. This mega event of National Level was graced by many sitting Hon’ble Judges of Lahore High Court, Lahore. Mr. Justice Saeed uz Zaman Siddiqui, Former Chief Justice of Pakistan, Mr. Justice Khalil ur Rehman Khan, Former Judge of Supreme Court of Pakistan, Mr. Justice Jamshed Ali Shah, Former Judge Supreme Court of Pakistan also attended this conference. Representative from different Hon’ble High Courts Federal and Provincial Judicial Academies actively participated in this conference. Twenty Papers were read in four concurrent sessions being chaired by Hon’ble Judges of Lahore High Court and co-chaired by other dignitaries. Speakers from Scotland, United States and India shared their views on Skype with the participants. At the conclusion of conference, Chief Guest Hon’ble Mr. Justice Syed Mansoor Ali Shah, shared the different points formulated by four concurrent sessions with the house and Judicial Education Declaration 2014 was unanimously passed.
