The concluding ceremony of an intensive series of training sessions on Forensic Insight, Artificial Intelligence, and Personal Development & Stress Management was held at the Auditorium of the Punjab Judicial Academy (PJA), Lahore. The ceremony was graced by Mr. Justice S. M. Attique Shah, The Honorable Chief Justice of the Peshawar High Court, as the Chief Guest.
Addressing the gathering, Mr. Justice (R) Sardar Ahmad Naeem, Honorable DG, Punjab Judicial Academy, highlighted the vision of the Academy to promote continuous professional development of the judiciary. He stated that the training sessions were designed to integrate legal reasoning with modern tools such as forensic analysis and AI, while also focusing on personal growth and stress resilience. He reiterated the Academy’s commitment to nurturing a competent, confident, and well-rounded judiciary capable of delivering timely and effective justice.
Mr. Raza Jafar, CEO GSN, a renowned humanitarian and philanthropist, participated in the ceremony along with a foreign delegation and addressed the participants, Faculty members, judicial officers of the training sessions attended the event in large numbers.
Mr. Raza Jafar, CEO GSN, in his address, spoke on humanitarian values, ethical leadership, and global perspectives. He emphasized the role of empathy, self-awareness, and mental resilience in leadership, particularly within justice-sector institutions. He also commended the Punjab Judicial Academy for fostering international collaboration and incorporating global best practices, as reflected by the participation of a foreign delegation.
Mr. Justice Jawad Hassan, Member, Board of Management, Punjab Judicial Academy, shared his insights on judicial transformation in the contemporary era. He underscored the need for judges to embrace innovation while remaining anchored to constitutional values and judicial ethics. He appreciated the inclusion of interdisciplinary subjects in judicial training and emphasized that exposure to modern techniques, coupled with personal development, strengthens judicial independence and institutional credibility.
In his keynote address, the Honorable Chief Justice Mr. Justice S. M. Attique Shah appreciated the Punjab Judicial Academy for organizing contemporary and need-based training programmes. He emphasized the increasing relevance of forensic sciences and artificial intelligence in judicial proceedings and observed that modern judges must equip themselves with scientific understanding and technological awareness to meet emerging legal challenges. He further stressed the importance of personal development and stress management, stating that judicial efficiency and impartiality are closely linked with mental well-being and emotional balance.
Earlier, the Honorable Chief Justice of the Peshawar High Court, along with the foreign delegation, visited the classrooms and the IT Lab of the Punjab Judicial Academy, where they interacted with the participants and faculty members. They reviewed the training facilities, observed the use of modern instructional technologies, and exchanged views with the participants on contemporary judicial training methodologies and the integration of technology in legal education.
The ceremony concluded with the distribution of certificates among the participants, followed by a vote of thanks. The event reaffirmed the Punjab Judicial Academy’s role as a premier institution dedicated to strengthening judicial capacity through innovation, knowledge-sharing, and holistic professional development.
