Following graduation from Govt. Sadiq Egerton College, Bahawalpur, did LLB from Punjab University Law College Lahore and then Masters in English Literature and after qualifying PCS (Judicial) competitive examination appointed Civil Judge in the year 1984, and served at various stations across the Punjab. Also served Senior Civil Judge at Sahiwal and Lahore.  In the year 2000 promoted Additional District & Sessions Judge and in that capacity besides serving at various stations discharged responsibilities as Special Judge Anti-Narcotics (ANF), Special Judge Anti-Terrorism Court, Multan and Additional Registrar, LHC from the year 2000 to 2009.  In July 2009, promoted District & Sessions Judge and worked in the field as District & Sessions Judge at Rajanpur, Sahiwal, Multan, Sargodha and Rawalpindi.  Also served on Ex-Cadre posts as Member Inspection Team, Lahore High Court, Lahore, Judge Accountability Court and Special Judge Anti-Narcotics ANF Lahore. Also remained Judge of the Lahore High Court, Lahore for one year 2016-2017.  Attended following Courses/Workshops: -

  • Judicial Ethics Conference Organized by Lahore High Court Lahore in 2004 at Multan.
  • In service training course at National Institute of Public Administration (NIPA), Lahore.
  • Read paper on the topic of Legal Education in Pakistan National Judicial Conference held at Supreme Court of Pakistan, Islamabad in 2010.
  • Attended Colloquium on the subject of Intellectual Property Laws at Singapore.
  • Delivers Lectures in Punjab Judicial Academy on Legal topics.
  • Attended 78th one-week training course (Ist GTP) for District & Sessions Judges (09 to 14 February 2015).
  • Spoke on the topic of Administering the Green Justice as the Green Judge in CEEJ (Committee for Enhancing Environmental Justice) Conference on Water and Environmental Justice in the year 2014.
  • Remained Member Board of Management of the Punjab Judicial Academy 2014.
  • Served as Member District Judiciary Budget Committee, Lahore High Court Lahore 2015.
  • Remained Director General Punjab Judicial Academy from May-September 2019.
  • Served as Registrar Lahore High Court Lahore September, 2019 to January, 2020
  • After retirement in the 2020 served as Chairperson Punjab Labour Appellate Tribunal at Multan.

Having served the Judiciary on different positions for four decades have now earnest desire to share the acquired abilities, experience and character building traits with upcoming judges.
