In recognition of the efforts of Judicial Officers who have strived and maintained high level of commitment towards their responsibilities and to ensure the overall performance and effectiveness of the Judicial System. The Hon’ble Mr. Justice Shujaat Ali Khan, Acting Chief Justice, Lahore High Court, Lahore, honored the top performers of the District Judiciary for deciding the highest number of contested cases.
To acknowledge the endeavor and hard work by the top performers, a Certificate Awarding Ceremony was organized by the Directorate of District Judiciary, Lahore High Court, Lahore to distribute certificates of appreciation and best performers among the top performing judicial officers for the year 2023. The event took place in the Auditorium of the Punjab Judicial Academy on 29th June, 2024, at 01:30 p.m. Hon’ble Mr. Justice Shujaat Ali Khan, Acting Chief Justice, Lahore High Court, Lahore, graced the ceremony as Chief Guest. Other notable attendees included Ch. Abdul Rashid Abid, Registrar LHC, Mr. Abdul Sattar, Director General, PJA, Ms. Abher Gul Khan, Director General, DDJ-LHC, Syed Ali Imran, D&SJ, Lahore, Mr. Sajid Ali, D&SJ HR, LHC, Lahore, Mr. Muhammad Tanveer Akbar, DG Judicial & Case Management, LHC, Lahore, Mr. Shazib Saeed, D&SJ, Bahawalnagar, Directors of PJA, Research Officers from LHC, Lahore, and Judicial Officers from the District Judiciary of Punjab.
The ceremony commenced with the recitation of verses from the Holy Quran and Naat-e-Rasool-e-Maqbool (S.A.W.), followed by the National Anthem. Ms. Abher Gul Khan, Director General DDJ-LHC, delivered the welcome address, thereafter, Mr. Shazib Saeed, D&SJ, Bahawalnagar, briefed regarding the selection criteria for the top performers in each category for the period (01-01-2023 to 31-12-2023).
The top three performers from the categories of Civil Judges, AD&SJs, and D&SJs shared their experiences and expressed their appreciation for the concept of awarding and honoring judges for their dedication and commitment to judicial work by deciding cases on merit.
In his address, Hon’ble Mr. Justice Shujaat Ali Khan, Acting Chief Justice, Lahore High Court, Lahore, congratulated the top performers of the District Judiciary for resolving the maximum number of contested cases in 2023. He also shared his vision for the future of the Judicial System, highlighting the importance of incorporating modern information technology tools. The Hon’ble Chief Justice praised the efforts of the Academy and the ceremony organizers for their meticulous arrangements.
At the conclusion of the ceremony, the Hon’ble Chief Guest distributed appreciation certificates to the top performers in each category, including Civil Judges, Senior Civil Judges, AD&SJs, and D&SJs. The Director General, DDJ-LHC, presented souvenirs to the Hon’ble Acting Chief Justice. The event concluded with a group photo of the top performers with the Hon’ble Chief Guest, followed by refreshments.
