On May 18, 2024, a visit was arranged for the newly appointed 09 Additional District & Sessions Judges (AD&SJs) and 26 Civil Judges-cum-Magistrates to the Walled City Lahore. The visit, scheduled from 7:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m., aimed to observe the "History by Night" program. The delegation was led by Mr. Abdul Sattar, Hon’ble Director General of the Punjab Judicial Academy, Lahore, and included the participation of:
- Mr. Ishtiaq Ahmad, Director of Administration, PJA
- Ms. Bushra Zaman, Director (Research & Publications), PJA
- Mr. Mansoor Ahmad Khan, Director of Academic/Program, PJA
- Mr. Muhammad Iram Ayyaz, Director of Training (Distance Learning), PJA
- Mr. Saboor Ahmad Khan, Additional Director, PJA
The participants departed from the Punjab Judicial Academy at 7:00 p.m. and arrived at the Walled City Gate at 7:30 p.m., where they were warmly welcomed by Mr. Lal Shah, the guide, and other members of the Walled City of Lahore Authority.
The visit began with the participants offering Fateha at the shrine of Hazrat Allama Muhammad Iqbal. The guide then provided a detailed briefing on the historical significance of various landmarks, including the Badshahi Mosque, Barood Khana, Craft Ghar, Sheesh Mahal, Picture Wall, and other notable sites within Lahore Fort.
Following the historical tour, the participants enjoyed dinner at Haveli Restaurant in Food Street Lahore. The group returned to the Academy at approximately 11:00 p.m., concluding a memorable and educational visit.
