Week 9 (22nd January to 25th January, 2024) of the ongoing Online Division-Wise Distance Learning Training Session for Judges of the District Courts on General Topics has been concluded.
On Monday, 22nd January, 2024, Mr. Javed Rasheed Mahboobi, District & Sessions Judge (R), conducted the webinar session for the Judges from Gujrat & Lahore on the topic “Appointment of Receiver: Conditions, Requirements and Precautions”. During the webinar, learned Resource Person delved into the intricacies of receiver appointments, highlighting the legal framework, prerequisites, and practical considerations involved in this crucial judicial remedy. On Tuesday, 23rd January, 2024, from 11:15 – 12:30 p.m.
Syed Nasir Ali Shah, District & Sessions Judge (Rtd.), conducted webinar session for the Senior Civil Judges from Multan & Rawalpindi Divisions on the topic “Senior Civil Judge as a Linchpin in the System”. The participants were sensitized on the role and responsibilities of a Senior Civil Judge. Learned Resource Person also discussed the challenges faced by the Senior Civil Judges and provided insights on how to overcome the challenges and improve performance. On Wednesday, 24th January, 2024, Ms. Saima Amin Khawaja, Legal Consultant, conducted webinar session for the Judges from Sahiwal & Sargodha Divisions on the topic “Cases relating to Gender Based Violence”. She sensitized the Judges on the gender based violence and issues faced by the vulnerable segments of the society. Ms. Saima Amin Khawaja also discussed with the participant Judges that how Courts can play an effective role in such gender based violence cases. On Thursday, 25th January, 2024, Mr. Abid Hussain Qureshi, District & Sessions Judge (R), conducted the webinar session for the Judges from Bahawalpur & D.G. Khan Divisions on the topic “Rights of Overseas Pakistanis: Legal Framework and Responsibility of the Courts”. During the webinar, learned Resource Person discussed the relevant legal framework, recent legislative developments and sensitized the participants on the issues being faced by the overseas Pakistan.
