The Hon’ble Chief Justice, Lahore High Court, Lahore / Chairperson BoM, PJA, keeping in view the hardships of the employees of the PJA, directed to place the case for the regularization of the staff of PJA before the Hon’ble Board of Management. The Hon’ble BoM in its 33rd meeting held on 03.06.2022, appreciating the kind and just gesture of the Hon’ble Chief Justice unanimously approved the adoption of The Punjab Regularization of Service Act, 2018 for the staff of the Academy.
After the permission and kind consent of the Hon’ble Chief Justice, Lahore High Court, Lahore / Chairperson BoM, PJA, the process of regularization was initiated in accordance with the Act. After completing all the codal formalities, and with the approval of the Hon’ble Chief Justice, the services of 82 staff members of PJA, who were serving PJA since long have been regularized.
The staff, whose services have been regularized had demanded to receive their orders of regularization from the hands of the Hon’ble Chief Justice, Lahore High Court, Lahore / Chairperson BoM, PJA, who made it possible and safeguarded their and their families’ future.
In this regard, a ceremony was held on 25.01.2024 at 01:00 p.m. in the Auditorium of PJA, the Hon’ble Chief Justice, Lahore High Court, Lahore / Chairperson BoM, PJA arrived at 01:00 p.m. and was received in the Auditorium with a loud standing applause by the staff of the Academy.
In the opening address, Mr. Ashtar Abbas, Acting Director General, PJA welcomed the Hon’ble Chief Guest, thanking him for taking out time from his busy and hectic schedule to grace the occasion. He admired the vision and concern of the Hon’ble Chief Justice for the future of the employees of the Academy, which was lingering the dark for being in contract services. Mr. Ashtar Abbas said that with the kind gesture of the Hon’ble Chief Justice, Lahore High Court, Lahore / Chairperson BoM, PJA is not only regularizing the services of its 82 employees and securing their future, rather will be safeguarding the future of 82 families with whom thousands of persons are associated / attached.
While sharing his views, the Hon’ble Mr. Justice Muhammad Ameer Bhatti, Chief Justice, Lahore High Court, Lahore / Chairperson BoM, Punjab Judicial Academy, Lahore congratulated the employees for having their services regularized. He, the Hon’ble Chief Justice said that he was happy that The Almighty Allah has chosen him for this act of kindness to regularize the services of the employees of PJA, who have been serving PJA since long on contract basis with in-secured future. He said, we should all be thankful to Allah Almighty for the happiness and blessings that has bestowed upon us.
Thereafter, His Lordship advised all the employees to be more focused and vigilant towards their duties for betterment of the Institution. He said that our every action / step should be for the betterment and improvement of the Academy, we should consider the Academy as our home, the respect and reputation of the Academy will surely scale the skies with your commitment and dedicated hard work, that will appreciate your personal respect and reputation as well.
On conclusion of the address of the Hon’ble Chief Guest, the orders of regularization were distributed among the employees of the Academy. Due to busy schedule of the Hon’ble Chief Justice, after distributing the orders of regularization among few employees, he, the Hon’ble Chief Justice left the Auditorium for his Chamber in the Hon’ble Lahore High Court, Lahore and the remaining orders of regularization were distributed by the Hon’ble Acting Director General, PJA Mr. Ashtar Abbas.
Concluding the ceremony, the staff of the Punjab Judicial Academy once again gave a standing applause to the Hon’ble Acting Director General, PJA and the Additional Director Mr. Saboor Ahmad Khan for their efforts for the regularization of their services and proceeded to the Mess for refreshment.
