The Trainee of the 65th Regular Shariah (Islamic Law) Course for District & Sessions Judges, Qazi, Armed Law Officers, District Attorney and Public Prosecutors, From Shariah Academy, International Islamic University, Islamabad, visited the Punjab Judicial Academy on 18th January, 2024. A Delegation of 26 Judicial and Executive Officer from all over the country participating in the 65th Course was headed Prof. Dr. Ataullah Fazi, Director General Shariah Academy arrived at the PJA 12:00 noon.
The purpose of this visit was to learn about training methodologies, functions and basic structure of the Academy. The delegation was warmly welcomed by the Ashtar Abbas, worthy Director General PJA and learned Directors of the Academy.
The Director (Research & Publication), gave a presentation about the functions, training methodology, structure, and activities of the Academy. She highlighted the core values and objective of the training programs for capacity building of District Judiciary Judges, Staff and other stakeholders. Further she elaborated number of training sessions, conferences, seminars conducted in previous years. She also shared the future plans of basic functions of the PJA and lastly about under construction Punjab Judicial Academy at Kala Shah Kaku, which is a huge project equipped with all purpose built structure for lecture rooms, Auditorium, Hostel, Mess, Webinar Studio and Sports facilities etc.
Appreciating the operation of PJA Hon’ble Director General Shariah Academy offered collaboration to PJA at all levels Academic as well as operations.
After presentation and formal discussion, the learned members of the delegation visited different departments of the Academy including Auditorium, Classrooms, IT Lab and Webinar Room. Souvenier and Publications were exchanged by the Hon’ble Director Generals. The visit concluded with lunch and a group photo.
