Week 3 (27th November to 30th November, 2023) of the ongoing Online Division-Wise Distance Learning Training Session for Judges of the District Courts on General Topics has been concluded.
On Monday, 27th November, 2023, Mr. Muhammad Yousaf Aujla, District & Sessions Judge (Rtd.) conducted a webinar session for the Judges from Multan & Rawalpindi Divisions on the topic “An Overview of Alternate Dispute Resolution (ADR), its Application in Litigation before Courts with reference to latest Amendments”. During the webinar session, the learned Resource Person highlighted latest amendments in ADR laws and their application in cases before District Courts. On Tuesday, 28th November, 2023, Ms. Badria Khalil, Head of Applied Linguistics Department, Kinnaird College for Women University, Lahore, conducted a webinar session for the Judges from Sahiwal & Sargodha Divisions on the topic “English Language, Communication & Writing Skills”. The learned Resource Person highlighted the need of English Language skills for the judges to be able to communicate effectively in both orally and in writing. On Wednesday, 29th November, 2023, from 11:15 – 12:30 p.m.
Mr. Fakhar Hayat, District & Sessions Judge (Rtd.), conducted webinar session for the Senior Civil Judges from Bahawalpur & D.G. Khan Divisions on the topic “Senior Civil Judge as a Linchpin in the System”. The participants were sensitized on the role and responsibilities of a Senior Civil Judge. Mr. Fakhar Hayat also discussed the challenges faced by the Senior Civil Judges and provided insights on how to overcome the challenges and improve performance. On Thursday, 30th November, 2023, Mr. Abid Hussain Qureshi, District & Sessions Judge (R), conducted the webinar session for the Judges from Faisalabad & Gujranwala on the topic “Appointment of Receiver: Conditions, Requirements and Precautions”. During the webinar, learned Resource Person delved into the intricacies of receiver appointments, highlighting the legal framework, prerequisites, and practical considerations involved in this crucial judicial remedy.
