Oath Taking / Inaugural Ceremony of Newly Appointed Additional District & Sessions Judges and Civil Judges-cum-Magistrate was held on 07-07-2023 in the auditorium of Punjab Judicial Academy, Lahore. Hon’ble Chief Justice Mr. Justice Muhammad Ameer Bhatti, Lahore High Court, Lahore / Chairperson Board of Management Punjab Judicial Academy graced the event as chief guest. Mr. Irfan Ahamd Saeed, Worthy Registrar, Lahore High Court, Lahore, Mr. Ameer Muhammad Khan, D&SJ, Director General (Directorate of District Judiciary), Ch. Abdul Rashid Abid, D&SJ, (HR-District Judiciary), Mr. Ashtar Abbas, Acting Director General, PJA, Director Training (Distance Learning), PJA, Director Research & Publications, PJA, Director Academic / Program, PJA and Additional Director, PJA also attended the event.
The ceremony started with the recitation of The Holy Quran, followed by National Anthem. The proceedings were conducted by Mr. Tariq Iftikhar Ahmad, Director Training (Distance Learning), PJA. The Worthy Registrar administered oath to the newly appointed Additional District & Sessions Judges and Civil Judges-cum-Magistrate. In inaugural address, Mr. Ashtar Abbas, Acting Director General, PJA welcomed the Hon’ble Chief guest, dignities of Lahore High Court, Lahore, newly appointed Judges and their families. He further explained the key areas of Pre Service Training Program 2023 designed under the directions and vision of the Hon’ble Lahore High Court, Lahore.
The Hon’ble Chief Justice Mr. Justice Muhammad Ameer Bhatti, Lahore High Court, Lahore congratulated the newly appointed Judges and said that this oath establishes special connection between the judge and Allah. He emphasized on the true spirit of a Judge and its responsibilities under the guidelines of Islam.
In the end, group photos of newly appointed judges were taken with Hon’ble Chief Justice and ceremony concluded followed by refreshment.
