A delegation of newly promoted Additional District & Sessions Judges/Izafi Zila Qazis (participants of post promotion statutory training) along with DG, KPJA, Faculty and Directors from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Judicial Academy KPJA, Peshawar visited the Punjab Judicial Academy on 3rd May, 2023. The purpose of this visit was to learn about training methodologies, functions and basic structure of the Academy. The delegation was warmly welcomed by the worthy Director General PJA and learned Directors of the Academy.
Mr. Tariq Iftikhar Ahmad, Director Trainings (Distance Learning), gave briefing about functions, training methodology, structure, and activities of the Academy. He highlighted the core values and objective of the training programs for capacity building of District Judiciary Judges, Staff and other stakeholders. Further, he elaborated number of training sessions, conferences, seminars conducted in previous years. Moreover, the future plans of the PJA and lastly about under construction Punjab Judicial Academy at Kala Shah Kaku, a project equipped with all latest facilities i.e. lecture rooms, auditorium, hostel, mess, webinar studio and sports facilities.
During the interactive session with the members of the delegation, Hon’ble Director General PJA highlighted the future plans of the Academy and offered collaboration with the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Judicial Academy at all academic levels under the MoU already signed between the PJA and KPJA. The members of the delegation thanked the Hon’ble Director General for the generous offer and all the arrangements made by the Academy for their present visit.
After presentation and formal discussion, the learned members of the delegation visited different departments of the Academy including classrooms, Webinar room, and library. Souvenirs were presented to Ms. Farah Jamshed, DG KPJA by Mr. Ashtar Abbas, the worthy Director General PJA. The visit concluded with lunch and a group photo.
