The inaugural ceremony of “UN Essential Services Package (Guidelines and Tools) on Violence Against Women and Girls – Justice Sector Training (Batch-I)” was held in the Punjab Judicial Academy on 24th May, 2022 at 09:00 a.m., which was Chaired by Mr. Ashtar Abbas, Acting Director General, PJA. Mr. Tariq Iftikhar Ahmad, Director Training (Distance Learning), PJA, Ch. Muhammad Siddique, Director Academics / Programmes PJA, Ms. Bushra Zaman, Director Research & Publication, PJA Mr. Aftab, Senior Training & Development Officer, UNODC and Mr. Faisal, Program Associate, UNODC participated the ceremony.
The proceedings were started with the recitation of the Holy Quran. Where after, National Anthem was presented. After that Mr. Ashtar Abbas, Acting Director General, Punjab Judicial Academy welcomed the participants.
Thereafter, Mr. Aftab, Senior Training & Development Officer UNODC gave Introduction of UNODC country office Pakistan (UNODC COPAK) and the Essential Service Package (ESP) & its framework.
