Was held on 9th May 2022 in the Auditorium of Punjab Judicial Academy, Lahore. The ceremony started with the recitation from Holy Quran and followed by Naat Shareef and National Anthem.
In the inaugural address, Mr. Ashtar Abbas (Acting) Director General, Punjab judicial Academy, welcomed the auspicious guests and participants of the seminar “The Rights of Overseas Pakistanis”. He added, this seminar is in continuation of One Day seminar on the rights of Overseas Pakistanis held on 2nd July, 2019 where it was pledged to serve and safeguard the rights of overseas Pakistanis. The Academy reiterate its commitment at this juncture and ready to serve and support their lawful rights by arranging such events.
Introduction of Punjab Overseas Pakistanis Commissions, Its Composition, Complaint, Registration, Referral and Redressal Machanism was briefed by Syed Khadim Abbas Shah, Commissioner, Punjab Overseas Pakistanis Commission.
Comparative Study of Punjab Overseas Pakistani Commission Act, 2014 & The Punjab Overseas Pakistanis Commission Act 2021 was presented by Raja Zubair Director Lagal, Punjab Overseas Pakistanis Commission.
Best Achiever, in Disposal of Overseas Pakistanis Cases in district judiciary Punjab, Ms. Mughera Munawar, Civil Judge, Lahore also shared her Views, her quick disposal of cases was highly appreciated by the Hon’ble Judges and the overseas participants of the ceremony.
An Overview of the LHC-Website (Overseas Pakistanis Portal) that serves as a facilitating tool for overseas Pakistanis was briefed by Mr. Shazib Saeed, Director General, Judicial & Case Management, LHC, Lahore.
Hon’ble Mr. Justice Jawad Hassan, Judge Lahore High Court, Lahore expressed his valuable thoughts on “The Rights of overseas Pakistanis-Jurisprudential Development in Pakistan”.
Hon’ble Mr. Justice Shujaat Ali Khan, Judge, Lahore High Court Lahore addressed the participants and shared his valuable views. He added that overseas Pakistanis are assets of the Pakistan Nation and our vision is to serve them in efficient manner.
Later Hon’ble Mr. Justice Shujaat Ali Khan and Hon’ble Mr. Justice Jawad Hassan jointly launched the “Compendium of statues & Citations regarding Overseas Pakistanis Cases”.
