Second week of one-day Distance Learning Training Sessions for Special Courts Judges in Punjab through Webinar

The second week of one-day Distance Learning Training Sessions for Special Courts Judges in Punjab through Webinar has been concluded. During the said week, two webinar sessions were conducted for Presiding Officers of Drug Courts in Punjab on 18th January, 2022 and similarly two sessions for Anti-Terrorism Court Judges on 20th January, 2022.

Sessions for Presiding Officers of Drug Courts in Punjab (18th January, 2022)

  1. First sessions from 10:00 – 11:15 a.m. on the topic “Purpose, Relevant Law to Establish Drugs Courts” was conducted by Mr. Tariq Iftikhar Ahmad, Director Training (Distance Learning).
  1. In the second session from 12:30 – 01:45p.m. on the topic “Offences, Penalties and Procedure of the Drugs Court under the Drugs Act, 1976”, Mr. Muhammad Ibrahim Asghar, District & Sessions Judge, shared his knowledge and experience with the participants.

Sessions for Anti-Terrorism Court Judges (20th January, 2022)

  1. First session from 10:00 – 11:15 a.m. on the topic “Recent Amendments in the Anti-Terrorism Act, 1997 – its effects” was conducted by Hon’ble Mr. Justice (R) Mahmood Maqbool Bajwa.
  2. In the second session from 12:30 – 01:45 p.m. on the topic “Organizations involved in Terrorism – Law and Procedure as provided in Anti-Terrorism Act, 1997”, Mr. Tariq Iftikhar Ahmad, Director Training (Distance Learning), shared his knowledge and experience with the participants.

At the conclusion of each session, learned resource persons answered different questions put by the attendees.
