The Punjab Judicial Academy has conducted one-day zoom webinar session on Law of Torts and Defamation: Legal procedure and Remedies for Judicial Officers and members of District Bar Associations in Punjab.
Training program was conducted in two batches i.e, Batch-I & II organized on 28th & 29th June 2021 respectively. The participants from Districts Bahawalnagar, Bahawalpur, R.Y.Khan ,D.G Khan ,Layyah, MuzaffarGarh, Rajanpur, Multan, Lodhran, Khanewal, Vehari, Sahiwal, Pakpattan, Okara, Sargodha, Khushab, Mianwali & Bhakkar attended the program in Batch-I and the participants from Faisalabad, Chaniot, T.T. Singh, Jhang, Gujranwala, Gujrat, Hafizabad, M.B.Din, Narowal, Sialkot, Lahore, Kasur, Nankana Sahib, Sheikhupura, Rawalpindi, Jehlum, Chakwal & Attock were connected through video link in Batch-II.
The purpose of the program was to sensitize and refresh the participants about law of Torts and Defamation Ordinance, its principles, procedure, & damages.
The program was started with the recitation of verses from the Holy Quran and after inaugural address of the Acting Director General, scheduled program was conducted.
