4-Day Capacity Building Training Workshop for Commercial Courts Judges

The Punjab Judicial Academy has organized Four-Days Capacity Building Training Workshop for Commercial Court Judges w.e.f 7th to 10th July 2021, in collaboration with the Planning & Development Board.

         The objective of this Program was to equip the judges with relevant laws and precedents relating to commercial courts; to better understand the importance of business and commercial laws; capacity building regarding e-filing and e-process serving in commercial cases.

        On the eve of the Inaugural Ceremony (7thSeptember 2020), the Director General welcomed the participants with the confidence that that the training will be helpful for them.

 During four days program, Hon’ble Judges, advocates & esteemed resource persons delivered lectures and shared their knowledge with the participants

    Concluding Ceremony of the workshop was organized on 10th June 2021. Hon’ble Mr. Justice Muhammad Ameer Bhatti, Senior Puisne Judge, LHC enlighten the ceremony as Chief Guests along with Hon’ble Mr. Justice Shahid Karim, Judge LHC.

The Acting Director General, in his concluding remarks, paid gratitude to the Hon’ble chief guest for sparing their precious time to grace the event.

   On behalf of the participants Mrs. Farzana Shahzad Khan, AD&SJ shared her view/feedback about the training workshop they attended.

     Hon’ble Mr. Justice Shahid Karim impressed upon the participants that for economic growth and sustainability, it is imperative that the cases involving economic activities must be decided speedily which in term will help in economic stability of the country.

    Hon’ble Chief Guest bestowed the participants with his fruitful address and showed his pleasure on the establishment of commercial courts in Punjab.

  The Ceremony was followed by awarding of certificates and souvenirs.
