Inauguration of Construction Kala Shah Kaku Campus (Phase II)

Ground Breaking Ceremony of the Punjab Judicial Academy Kala Shah Kaku Complex Phase-II was held  on 26th February 2021.

 Hon'ble Mr. Justice Muhammad Qasim Khan, Chief Justice Lahore High Court, Lahore, laid the foundation stone of Phase II of the Punjab Judicial Academy Kala Shah Kaku Campus. Hon’ble Mr. Justice Malik Shahzad Ahmad Khan, Hon’ble Mr. Justice Shahid Waheed, Hon’ble Mr. Justice Ali Baqar Najafi, Hon’ble Mr. Justice Atir Mahmood, Hon’ble Mr. Justice Syed Shahbaz Ali Rizvi, , Hon’ble Mr. Justice Sardar Muhammad Sarfraz Dogar, Hon’ble Mr. Justice Asjad Javaid Ghural, Hon’ble Mr. Justice Anwarul-Haq Pannun Registrar Lahore High Court Malik Mushtaq Ahmed Ojla, Administrative officers including D.G District Judiciary, Ch. Muhammad Saleem D.G PJA and Session Judge Human Resources of LHC also joined the Ceremony.

The Director General PJA welcomed the Hon’ble Chief Justice and Judges LHC. He also gave a brief introduction of the construction of PJA. The Chief Architect of Punjab and Superintendent Engineer also gave a briefing on the project of Punjab Judicial Academy Kala Shah Kaku Campus.

Hon’ble Chief Justice Lahore High Court, in his address said that the main objective of establishing Punjab Judicial Academy was to provide best learning opportunities to judges. He stressed upon that in the infrastructure of the Academy it is necessary to provide everything required for the learners and PJA is not only to train judges from all over Pakistan but also work on legal research.

Hon'ble Chief Justice appreciated the efforts of PJA that the Punjab Judicial Academy continued its work even during the Corona epidemic as Judges, lawyers and staff were given online/vertual training using the latest technology/ through webinars. His Lordship directed the administration of this Academy to make Kala Shah Kaku campus a green cradle within next three months, green areas would be made not only inside the academy but also around it. He directed that the Phase-II should be completed soon. His Lordship impressed upon that the judges under training in the PJA would play their best role in providing speedy and quality justice in the field, to the oppressed litigant.

The program was ended with the vote of thanks to the Hon’ble Chief Guest and the judges.
