On the eve of inaugural ceremony of third workshop on Gender Based Violence (GBV) Laws w.e.f 29th-31thJuly 2019, Hon’ble Chief Justice, Mr. Justice Sardar Muhammad Shamim Khan, Lahore High Court Lahore graced the Occasion as Chief Guest. Mr. Abdul Sattar, Director General Punjab Judicial Academy welcomed the Hon’ble Chief Justice Lahore High Court Lahore and other distinguished guests & members of ADB team.
ADB Team including Dr. Robyn Ann Layton, Ms. Zarizana Abdul Aziz, Ms. Saima Amin Khawaja, Ms. Humaira Masihuddin & Ms. Samar Minallah discussed and shared responses, strategies and support mechanism with the trainees to learn how to reduce and respond to the incidents of GBV. The trainers imparted training on Gender Sensitization, Treatment of GBV cases-International, National, Religious & Customary context and Adjudication & Acquittal in GBV cases.
Concluding Ceremony of the same was organized on 31st July 2019 Hon’ble Chief Justice Mr. Justice Sardar Muhammad Shamim Khan, Lahore High Court Lahore graced the occasion as Chief Guest and in his keynote remarks, highly appreciated the efforts of ADB team, Law and Justice Commission of Pakistan & the PJA in organizing the workshop.
The Director General PJA expressed his deep gratitude to the Hon’ble Chief Guest for sparing his valuable moments for the program and also paid thanks to all the respected guests for their participation.
At the end, certificates were distributed amongst the participants of workshop and souvenirs were presented to the distinguished guests.
